Take me to… Nevis
We are delighted to be launching a new collaboration with Montpelier Nevis, the multi-award-winning plantation and beach on the beautiful and lesser-known island of Nevis. They represent pure laid-back chic, just like our Voyage Capsule Collection. Montpelier invites you to be active, and sun-soaked, discover waterfalls, explore centuries-old ruins, or simply enjoy tropical island life in the West Indies – a vision that we can buy into!
About the island
Dubbed ‘The Coolest Caribbean Island You've Never Heard Of’ by Forbes, the island’s natural bounty has much to offer it’s full of spectacular geographical features and its laid-back-even-for-the-Caribbean mindset is, of course, very attractive—the government has never made a point of promoting (and at one point actually opposed) mass tourism. Nevis is real-life evidence for those travellers who maintain the fact that the harder it is to reach a place, the better it is once you're there.
Fabulous beaches, historic plantation houses, museums and galleries are all concentrated on one tiny, perfectly formed island, right here.
A moment of geography…
Covering an area of approximately 93 square kilometres, Nevis is the smaller of the two islands which comprise the nation of St. Kitts and Nevis. The two volcanic islands are separated by a 3-km-wide channel called The Narrows, with Nevis Peak, the island’s highest point sitting in the centre of the island.
Cultural connections
Lin Miranda Manuel spent time on the island to gain inspiration for the runaway hit that is ‘Hamilton’, the Founding Father hero of which was born and orphaned on the island of Nevis.
Clothing connections
All of our pieces are named after places that we have enjoyed wonderful adventures in over the years. Currently, the closest we have got to Nevis is Mustique, so for now we are going to focus on this wonderful linen t-shirt – it’s as light as a summer breeze, and exactly what you’d wear on the island.
Created in knitted linen, the Mustique has a classic cut, with an elegant, laid-back charm —a summer essential combining both casual and sophistication that’s lightweight, soft and flattering. Pair with our Rio linen shorts for head-to-toe breezy suavity or layer under our Havana blazer for keeping cool under the stars.
The Life by the Blonde Concept
"The Life by the Blonde capsules make life a little bit easier, a little more stylish; a trailblazing concept creating a new way of shopping for the perfect wardrobe for the confident globe trotter."
The Voyage Capsule was inspired by our travels to the Caribbean, the soft pink of Antiguan sands, Old Havana's laid-back elegance, and the lightest of breezes found only on Mustique.
